Clay Earthworks classes focus on beginning and intermediate techniques in both hand building and wheel throwing.
Each two-hour class starts with personal instruction. I will guide you through basic sculpting/hand building techniques and then coach you through step-by-step wheel throwing techniques
Class times: Tuesday–Friday at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., or 6 p.m. Note: bookings are not automatic — Karen will confirm your spot by phone (775-848-0858) or email (kvetter425@gmail.com).
My class will teach additional methods of decorating, adding texture, carving, and glazing.
A five-week session is $350 per student. Maximum 3 students in each session.
PLEASE NOTE: Pieces cannot be fully completed in one class so you will not have anything to take home after the first class. Creating with clay is a process in which requires (2) kiln firings. A fired, completed hand-built piece will take (2) classes and a completed wheel throw piece will take (3) classes.
