Clay Earthworks Pottery Class
These classes are geared for the beginner and intermediate student. Classes focus on individual wheel throwing techniques, how to make hand-built classic clay functional forms. These clay forms can become magical pieces of art. Hand-building and wheel techniques are taught in all my classes. This is a fully functional studio. three pottery wheels, Slab roller, 2 kilns, heated studio with full facilities and more..
Materials include 25-lbs of clay, glazes and firings for each six week session. Note: Additional clay can be purchased for $20 for a 25 lb/bag.
Studio has 3 wheels, 2 hand building tables, slab roller, 2 kilns , unique glazes, Cone 5-6 glazes and more.
Minimum 2 student to run a class, to a maximum 3 students in each session. A six-week session is $210.
Pottery Classes for Couples
A perfect way to share art is a couples class. Two, 2-hour classes. First class introduces hand-building and wheel throwing techniques. Second class will involve trimming and glazing the bisque pieces. Pick up following classes. Includes all materials and firings. Cost is $190/couple. (Up to two couples per class, time and dates to be arranged)
Private Pottery Lessons
Intensive sessions for $85 for one-on-one 2 hour lesson. Materials and firing included. Call to schedule.
Six week sessions are $210.00 or $42 for an individual clay art class. Each six week session includes individual instruction to learn the basics or more advanced instruction of wheel throwing and numerous handmade clay art techniques. Intermediate/Advanced students are encouraged to be free to explore their inner potter.
Classes are currently Tuesday afternoons from 1-3:30 p.m. or Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m . These are $42 a class or $210.00 for six classes. If Tuesdays do not work for you please check out my classes at the Nevada Museum of Art or call me for possible class time/date options.
